Meet Duke: Our Sponsored Cadet at John B Lacson University

At Inmarsat, we believe in supporting the next generation of seafarers, the people who will one day navigate the world’s oceans and keep global trade moving. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we are currently sponsoring Duke, a talented third-year cadet at John B Lacson University, as part of our Inmarsat Cares initiative.
We’ve always made it our mission to support seafarers, as it all started with safety for us, and we have been providing global maritime distress and safety system (GMDSS) services since our inception. We understand that people are at the core of the maritime industry and we’re continuing to design solutions like our new NexusWave bonded connectivity solution with seafarers in mind, providing unlimited, fast, secure global connectivity so they can stay connected with family, friends and colleagues wherever they are in the world. Just as Duke’s journey is supported, we aim to support seafarers every day through reliable, high-performance connectivity.
