Shawn Duffy

Shawn Duffy serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Viasat, Inc., where she leads the Company’s global financial operations, overseeing all financial functions from accounting, auditing, corporate development and financial planning/reporting to investor relations, tax and treasury. Shawn has been instrumental in helping Viasat grow into a multinational organization with $2.3 billion in annual revenue, as of fiscal year 2020.

Shawn joined Viasat in 2005. During her tenure with the Company, she has held a number of senior financial positions including Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer before being named Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Prior to joining Viasat, Shawn was a senior manager at Ernst & Young, LLP, providing many of their large-scale West Coast technology and retail clients with assurance and merger & acquisition services. Before that, she held senior leadership positions at consumer packaged goods retailers Charlotte Russe and Sweet Factory, among others.

Shawn has served on the California State University—San Marcos Business School Advisory Board for more than five years, helping educate the next-generation workforce on global economic growth principles. She also devotes her volunteer time to empowering youth and women while advocating for STEM/STEAM education.

Shawn is a certified public accountant in the State of California. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from San Diego State University.
