Viasat and PGZ Exploring Collaboration on Advanced Satellite Communications and Space Capabilities

Carlsbad, CA (US), London, UK and Warsaw, Poland – Viasat and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to explore opportunities to strengthen Poland's satellite communications and space capabilities in support of the country's evolving defense and security requirements. The agreement was officially signed on September 16^th in Warsaw.
 

Under the agreement, the two organizations will evaluate potential areas for cooperation across advanced satellite communications and space technologies, including ground station antennas, SATCOM terminals, military communications satellites, and other space-enabled applications.
 

PGZ, Poland's leading state-owned defense group, plays a central role in supporting the country's defense modernization and industrial development objectives in alignment with the Polish government and Ministry of National Defence. Through this collaboration, Viasat and PGZ aim to identify opportunities to advance Poland's space ambitions while strengthening national defense and industrial capabilities.
 

The initiative combines Viasat's extensive expertise in resilient satellite communications, space systems, and mission-critical services, with PGZ's deep roots within Poland's defense and industrial ecosystem. Together, Viasat and PGZ will explore ways to support future Polish government and defense requirements through secure, resilient, and trusted communications capabilities.
 

Viasat Government, with teams based in the US, UK and other global locations, works closely with allied governments, armed forces, and industry partners around the world to deliver dual-use and specialized technologies that support some of the most demanding defense and space missions.

This will allow us to more effectively meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces regarding space technologies," said Adam Leszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A.
 

The collaboration aligns with the strong and longstanding relationships Poland has with the United States and United Kingdom, including growing cooperation in the space and defense sectors and the continued presence of allied forces in Poland. These factors provide a strong foundation for deeper industrial and technological collaboration between Viasat and PGZ.
