Mike Kreller

Mike Kreller serves as President, New Ventures at Viasat Inc., where he leads the development and growth of new business opportunities by applying Viasat’s capability set to new and existing markets. He also oversees satellite fleet planning, orbital slot strategy, and third-party capacity.

 

With more than 35 years of experience in the satellite and communications industry, Kreller has built a career identifying, developing, and scaling new business opportunities, leading strategic initiatives, and forging international partnerships. Since joining Viasat in 2006, he has played a key role in expanding the company’s global footprint through major programs, such as Australia’s National Broadband Network and Viasat’s partnership with Telebras in Brazil.

 

Before joining Viasat, Kreller held leadership positions at Telesat Canada across network engineering and operations, and international business development. He later served as General Manager of Telesat’s South American business, leading the expansion of the company’s regional presence and satellite services portfolio.

 

Kreller studied Electronics Engineering Technology at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, Business Management at York University, and Business Leadership at the USC Marshall School of Business.
