Viasat Thanks Partners Boeing and Arianespace for Successful Launch of Viasat-2

Today is a momentous day for Viasat, Boeing and Arianespace – where together – we get to celebrate the successful launch of Viasat-2.

We would like to thank both partners as they were integral in the launch campaign of Viasat-2, the highest capacity communications satellite in the world. Once Viasat-2 reaches its orbital slot and becomes operational, Viasat will be able to bring broadband to more places – and more people – globally.

Thank you, Boeing. We have had a long-standing, valuable partnership. We thank you for your expertise and efforts in building the Viasat-2 spacecraft. Boeing built Viasat-2 in their high-bay in El Segundo, Calif., using their powerful 702HP platform.

Additionally, we would like to thank Arianespace, for a strong collaboration on the Viasat-2 mission. Arianespace’s VA237 Mission successfully launched Viasat-2 into space using an Ariane 5 ECA launcher from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana. Viasat-2 was the 558th satellite to be launched by Arianespace.

Thank you, Boeing and Arianespace – we look forward to much success in the future.
