This page serves as a guide to understanding Sub Naviation and how it functions on Viasat.com

Specifications for Sub Navigation

The Sub Navigation is secondary navigation found under the Primiary Navigation. It is automatically applied when a page has children pages. You have the option to set pages to not appear in the Sub Nav component and you can choose to hide it altogther. 


Shown here is an example of the Sub Navigation being use on Viasat.com/home-internet

Authoring Experience:

By default, the Sub Nav will match the Parent, Children relationship in Sites as shown here.

All Sub Nav settings are managed under the Page Information icon and then Open Properties option.

If you do not want a page to appear in the Subnav, select this image. IMPORTANT: This will also hide the page from the main Mobile Navigation.

If a page is a Parent with Children, but you do not want the gray Sub Nav bar to appear, select this option.

Containers: Paintbrush Styles

There are no Style Options for Sub Navigation as it is a core element of Viasat.com. A Sub Nav component is automatically added if a page has children pages and can be toggle off if there is no need to show it on the page.
