Quote component - component detail

This page serves as a guide to understanding the Quote component and the options you are given to style the componet and how it functions.

Specifications for the Quote component

The Quote component is meant to be big, eye-catching, and takes up a decent amount of real estate.

Rather than a "pull-quote" where a snippet of a larger quote is pulled out and is featured big and bold, this Quote component is meant for a standalone quote.

There is a small and large quote option that can be used. The length of the quote will determine whether the small are large version should be used.

Examples of the large and small quote.

Quote: Paintbrush

The Quote component has a couple ways that it can be styled using the Style Options Paintbrush icon. The styles should be changed dependant on the length of the quote. Short quotes should use the larger text, long quotes should use the smaller text.

The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur.

King Arthur

First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thou foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
