How Do I See My Pre-Install Dashboard?

The Pre-Install Dashboard provides your order summary, install appointment and ability to reschedule your installation.

 

To access your Viasat Pre-Install Dashboard:

  1. Register Your Account on My Viasat
    • Login at My Viasat.
    • You will need your account number to register
  2. Access the Dashboard:
    • Once registered, your Pre-Install Dashboard will appear.
    • View your order summary, install appointment, and reschedule your installation if needed.
  3. If you ordered from a dealer; don’t hesitate to get in touch with your dealer to reschedule.
  4. If you ordered directly from Viasat:
    • Access your pre-install dashboard or call customer care at 855-463-9333.
    • After installation, review your order summary, install appointment, and reschedule your installation if needed.

Helpful Information About the Viasat Installation Process

The Viasat installation process involves several steps and requirements:

Preparation
  • Ensure you have a clear line of sight to the southern sky.
  • Decide where you want the equipment located.
  • Discuss any non-standard installation requirements with Viasat.
  • Someone over 18 must be present to discuss equipment placement, sign the Customer Agreement, and provide the last four digits of the credit card or bank account associated with the order.

Appointment Confirmation
  • The installation team will confirm your appointment time and date.

Installation Day
  • A professional, certified technician will arrive to perform a site survey.
  • The installer will comply with applicable FCC and electrical rules.
  • The cable will be routed through one exterior wall and one interior wall or floor.
  • The installer will verify if the modem is a Wi-Fi modem.
  • Your primary computer will be configured to connect to the service.
  • The service connection to the Internet will be tested.
  • Your My Viasat account will be activated.
  • The installer will assist with any questions and present the Viasat Service Agreement for your signature.

Equipment Requirements
  • You must lease the necessary satellite user terminal equipment from Viasat.
    • The installer will bring the leased equipment, and all necessary equipment needed to install and use Viasat Internet service.
  • A router is included in the Wi-Fi Modem for new installations.

HOA or Landlord Approval
  • Check with your HOA for specific rules and covenants that may alter your rights. Renters should check with the property owner and obtain the necessary permission.
  • The satellite dish falls under what the FCC calls the "Over-the-Air Reception Devices Rule."  For additional information view the FCC OTARD documentation.
