Reboot Your Viasat Modem
This article outlines the best way to reboot your equipment.
Follow these steps to reboot your modem:
- Power-down the device having trouble connecting to your internet. Note: If it is all devices skip this step.
- Unplug the router
- NOTE: If you have a WiFi Modem where the router and modem are one unit, you only have to worry about unplugging that device.
- Unplug the modem from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds.
- Plug in the modem. Wait until all LED lights on the modem are solid.
- Plug in the router. Wait until all LED lights on the modem are solid.
- Power up your device.

Alternatively, if you’re unable to unplug your equipment, you can reboot your Viasat Modem/Gateway using the My Viasat App. Rebooting through the app won’t reboot your router or devices.
- Log to the My Viasat App
- Tap Help
- Tap Reboot modem
- Confirm Reboot modem
