What Emails Can I Expect to Receive from Viasat?
As a paperless company, email is how we communicate with our customers.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE
If you receive an email from other addresses or with prompts to provide bank account numbers or additional sensitive information — beware and do not open the email.
- The email could be a "phishing" scam or another type of spam email containing malware or viruses if you open the email or click on links in the message.
- If you receive a suspicious email or have questions about an email you've received from Viasat Internet, we're here to help. Call to our Customer Care team at 855-463-9333.
- Emails from Viasat will be sent from Viasat Internet, and with rare exceptions, include a Sender email address of viasatinternet@info.viasat.com. Note: This mailbox is not monitored. Please do not submit responses.
- One-time payment receipt: emailed for one-time payments only
- Order Confirmation: Sent real-time after placing an order, includes account number, contract information, service plan details, and payment information.
- Install Information: Sent 2-3 days before the scheduled installation, includes preparation instructions and links to learn more about the installation process.
- Welcome: Sent real-time after installation, includes account number, contract information, service plan details, and important links for new customers.
- Billing Emails
- Bill Notification: Sent 10 days before the billing due date, reminds customers of the upcoming charge and provides links for payment management.
- Payment Failed Notification: Sent 1 day after a missed payment, includes a bill summary and links for payment options.
- Credit Card Expiration Notice: Sent 1 month before the credit card expires, includes a link to update the payment method.
- No Payment Method on File Notice: Sent on the bill due date without payment, includes links for adding or updating the payment method.
- Past Due Notification: Sent 1 day after a missed payment, serves as a reminder that the payment is past due
- Account Change Confirmation: Sent whenever changes are made to the account, upgrade your service, etc. Confirms the changes made.
- Data Usage Notification: Sent when 70%, 90% and 100% of the data allowance is used, not applicable on all plans
- Outage Alert: Sent if there is a technical issue impacting service, includes information about the outage.
- Copyright Infringement Notification: Sent if a copyright infringement is detected, includes details from the copyright holder.
- First Bill:
- Your first bill will be larger than future bills due to initial setup and installation fees, as well as the first month's service charge.
- Viasat is a paperless company, and you will receive monthly emails with bill details.
- Review your monthly charges and payment due date at My Viasat.
- Early Termination Fees:
- If you have a 24-month minimum service term and cancel before it is complete, you will be charged $15 for each remaining month.
- Data Usage:
- Refer to the amount of priority data your specific plan allows for in the Data Allowance section on your Order Confirmation email.
- View or change your service plan details on your My Viasat dashboard.
- Monitor your data usage to avoid exceeding your monthly allowance, which could result in slower service or additional charges.
