Manage your service with the My Viasat mobile app
You can currently use the My Viasat mobile app, depending on your plan:
- Billing: billing summary, pay your bill, view statements and payment history
- Personal Information: edit contact info, change password
- Alerts: Set up alerts for weather and network outages
- Tech Support: Troubleshoot, check your modem diagnostics, reboot your modem
- Data: see your usage summary and buy more High-Speed Data (if available)
- Installation: check your installation date, change installation date
The My Viasat mobile app is currently supported on Apple iPhones with iOS 9 or higher installed and Android 4.4 or higher phones. You can find your operating system by:
- Apple – Open Settings > General > About. Scroll to Version to find OS number
- Android – Open Settings > About Phone/Device. Tap Android Version to see the OS number
- Windows and Blackberry devices are not currently supported.

No, the My Viasat mobile app is free to download and use.
iPhones: Click here or follow the steps below
- On the home screen, tap App Store
- From the App Store, click on “Search” in the bottom right-hand corner
- In the Search bar, type “MyViasat mobile app.”
- Click on “Get” next to the MyViasat mobile app
- Tap Install, follow the instructions to install.
- Wait for the download to finish.
- Press the home button or (iPhone X only) swipe to the home screen
- Click on the MyViasat mobile app icon to open it
Android phones: Click here or follow the steps below
- From the home screen, tap the Play Store icon
- Search for “MyViasat mobile app” in the search bar
- Tap the three dots icon to the right of the MyViasat mobile app
- Select Install, then tap the Open button
The mobile app supports our Surfbeam 2 modem, Viasat Wi-Fi Modem, and Viasat Wi-Fi Gateway. The SB1 modem is not supported.
- Yes, you can use the My Viasat mobile app to pay your bill.
- You can also utilize any of our other secure self-service tools to make a payment.
Note: If you make a payment over the phone with an agent, an assistance fee of $5.00 will be added to your next statement.
Unfortunately, to use bill pay, your billing method and payment type must already be on file to pay from the mobile app.
iPhones:
- Access the "Settings" app from your main screen.’
- Tap Notifications
- Swipe up until you see the My Viasat mobile app
- Tap the My Viasat mobile app, then slide the Allow Notifications toggle from the “On” to the “Off” position
Android phones:
- Go to Apps
- Go to Settings
- Click on More
- Tap on the My Viasat mobile app, then clear the check box next to Show notifications to disable push notifications
Yes. To use the mobile app, you will need a connection to the internet, whether it is through your mobile network or Wi-Fi.
