How to Find Your MAC Address and Viasat Account Number

How to Find Your MAC Address

A "Media Access Control" or MAC address is a unique identifier attached to your modem.

MAC address

  • Just about any connected device has its own MAC address — from computers and tablets to modems and phones.
  • You may be asked for it if you make a service call or in other circumstances, although typically we only need the phone number associated with your account.

To find it, look for the white sticker on the back of your modem

  • The MAC address is a series of 12 numbers and letters displayed in six pairs and accompanied by a bar code.
  • Helpful tip: If the numbers are too small to see, take a photo of the label with your smartphone — then you can zoom in and read it easily.
