Reboot your Optical Network Terminal
NOTE: Optical Network Terminal = ONT
- Unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet and wait 10 seconds then plug it back in. (Avoid disconnecting from the back of the ONT as the clip is fragile.)
- Allow ~5 minutes for the ONT to power back up.
- If using a 3rd Party Router, unplug the router from the power outlet and wait until the ONT is back online before plugging the router back in.
- The Power, PON, Internet, and WLAN LED lights on the front of the ONT will turn solid green when the ONT is back online.
Reset your SSID and Wi-Fi Password
NOTE: All Wi-Fi connected devices will lose access to the internet when you update your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and/or password. You will need to update your SSID and/or password on all devices.
- Login to My Viasat
- Click on the Network tab
- Click Update name and password
- Enter new SSID and Password
- You do not need to update the SSID
- Click Change Wi-Fi Information to save
