ViaSat Inc. has received a $3.97 million Task Order (TO) for modification of the Joint Communication Simulator (JCS) under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract from the U.S. Air Force. The JCS enables accurate analysis of communication system performance without the expense of in-flight testing.

Duluth, GA – ViaSat Inc. and Verso Technologies have successfully tested a satellite backhaul system for GSM mobile communications that can cut the cost of GSM backhaul through more efficient use of satellite bandwidth. The system combines ViaSat LinkStar® satellite communications networking and Verso NetPerformer® technology.
Carlsbad, CA – ViaSat Inc. has won a delivery order valued at $2.4 million for Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) terminals in support of the Republic of Korea. The 24-month contract, beginning in May, 2008, includes four LVT(11) ground-based Low Volume Terminals and associated support equipment.

Eutelsat Communications (Euronext Paris: ETL) and ViaSat today announced that the consumer broadband satellite service they are partnering to offer in Europe will be rolling out next month in Germany, with other selected European markets to follow before the end of the year. The service will be similar to the WildBlue service and use our SurfBeam® satellite DOCSIS system.
