DOCSIS�-based network enables Internet and broadband communications to schools
Carlsbad, CA � ViaSat is supplying its consumer broadband satellite network system to Telesat, one of the world�s leading satellite operators. ViaSat will supply more than 3,700 satellite terminals that Telesat customers will use to enable Internet access for schools in Colombia, plus additional terminals for other projects in Latin America.

(ECC), a producer of broadband communication integrated circuits and satellite communication systems. With this purchase ViaSat will increase its depth in the new S2 version of the DVB-RCS satellite broadband standard and will become the supplier of modem chips for the Asian IPSTAR spot-beam satellite system.

(NASDAQ: VSAT) today announced results for its fiscal year 2006 second quarter, including revenues of $104.1 million, new net contract awards of $102.8 million, net income of $0.24 per share on a pro forma basis and $0.21 per share on a GAAP basis, and cash flows from operations of $12.3 million. Year-to-date, the company reported total revenues of $204.1 million, net new contract awards of $232.2 million, net income of $0.46 per share on a pro forma basis or $0.39 per share on a GAAP basis and cash flows from operations of $19.1 million.

The order adds to the $60 million delivery order announced on June 13 and the $5.2 million add-on order announced September 21. This order brings the total to more than $70 million for the largest MIDS order received by ViaSat as part of the MIDS Lot procurements.

(Nasdaq:VSAT) has won a $19.8 million award from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (NYSE: LMT) to supply a Communication Navigation and Identification Function Stimulator (CFS) for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). The contract period of performance is 30 months. Lockheed Martin will add the new ViaSat system to its Mission System Integration Lab in Fort Worth, Texas where avionics system integration is proceeding in preparation for the first flight of the F-35.

The order includes LVT(1) airborne and LVT(2) ground-based Low Volume Terminals under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract awarded in January 2000. The MIDS LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communications capability for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and for U.S. defense partners.
Carlsbad, CA - ViaSat Inc. will supply its LinkStar DVB-RCS compatible satellite networking system to Unete Telecomunicaciones to expand the availability of enterprise broadband networking in Bolivia and the surrounding region. Deliveries of the hub and first order of network terminals were scheduled for May.
The new Unete network is aimed at the enterprise market for broadband IP connections and Internet access. The hub is installed at the company�s La Paz headquarters with coverage including Venezuela, Peru, and Paraguay.
