Clarksburg, MD - Comsat Laboratories, a division of ViaSat Inc.,has won a contract from NASA to design and deliver a Space Communications Testbed (SCT) that emulates the nodes and links comprising an end-to-end inter-planetary communication network. Comsat Labs� bid was selected from a large number of proposals, as part of the Technology Maturation Program under Exploration Systems Research and Technology (ESR&T), a Division of the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate that is developing systems for space exploration to the Moon, Mars and beyond.

(Nasdaq:VSAT) has won a $3.16 million contract from the U.S. Air Force Cryptologic Systems Group to develop cryptographic equipment for the Space Ground Applications in Satellite System (CESGASS). The program requires ViaSat to demonstrate that terrestrial, re-programmable Type 1 communications security equipment, that complies with the tenants of NSA Crypto Modernization, can replace existing/legacy ground equipment.

(Nasdaq:VSAT) has won a delivery order valued at approximately $60 million for Multifunctional Information Distribution System terminals from The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), San Diego. The order includes LVT(1) airborne and LVT(2) ground-based Low Volume Terminals under the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract awarded in January 2000. The MIDS LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communications capability for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and for U.S. defense partners.
Carlsbad, CA - ViaSat Inc. will supply its LinkStar DVB-RCS compatible satellite networking system to Unete Telecomunicaciones to expand the availability of enterprise broadband networking in Bolivia and the surrounding region. Deliveries of the hub and first order of network terminals were scheduled for May.
The new Unete network is aimed at the enterprise market for broadband IP connections and Internet access. The hub is installed at the company�s La Paz headquarters with coverage including Venezuela, Peru, and Paraguay.

(NASDAQ: VSAT) has been selected by Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) of Tromsø, Norway to provide a 7.3-meter X-band receive and S-band Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) antenna system. The antenna system is part of a new KSAT ground station, called TrollSat, that is under development at 72°S 2°E in Antarctica and is expected to begin operation in February, 2006. The value of the contract is approximately $2.2 million.
Norcross, GA - ViaSat is supplying its LinkStar� satellite communication networking system to the Department of Education of Puerto Rico to develop and distribute educational resources throughout the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Installations cover 100 sites for the Distance Learning Satellite Network. Vitacom Systems is the prime contractor and integrator for the network, one of several efforts by the Puerto Rican Department of Education to bring high-tech educational tools and skills to remote areas in Puerto Rico. Installation is complete and the network began operation in March.
Carlsbad, CA - ViaSat has finalized a contract to supply its SurfBeam� broadband satellite networking system to Smart Digital Communications Bhd in Malaysia. Smart will use the system, the first of its kind in Asia, to provide enhanced satellite managed services and networking operations for a new service called Triple Play that will bring video, voice and high-speed Internet to homes and small businesses in Malaysia. Under this contract, ViaSat will supply a hub and 5,000 Ku-band satellite terminals for the project.

ViaSat has received an initial delivery order funding increment of $11 million to begin development planned for approximately the next six months.
