What is the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB)?

The EBB is a new federal program that offers temporary payment assistance on internet services to qualifying customers impacted by the pandemic. If you're eligible:

  • You may reduce your monthly internet bill up to $50/mo. or:
  • Save up to $75/mo. if you reside on qualifying Tribal lands.

How to get the benefit

Step #1 See if you qualify

Use the National Verifier to check and see if your household qualifies. You'll be able to apply and submit the required documents on the website.

Step #2 Call to apply discount

If you qualify, please call Viasat Customer Care at 1-800-590-4064, 7am - 7pm MST Monday - Friday. We will confirm eligibility for the Viasat EBB and apply the discount to your account or help you order your plan.

How long does the discount last?

The EBB is temporary and does not have a set expiration date. The program will end once it runs out of funding or six months after the COVID-19 pandemic has been declared over, whichever comes first. Viasat will notify customers...
