ViaSat Hosting WildBlue Career Fair With Over 50 Job Openings

WHAT:

ViaSat (Nasdaq: VSAT) is hosting a career fair on Saturday, July 30th, to help fill over 50 open positions for its WildBlue high-speed satellite Internet service. Individuals seeking a career in engineering, IT, technical operations, and customer care are encouraged and welcomed to attend.

Erwin Hudson, Chief Technology Officer for WildBlue, will be giving presentations from 10 am - 1 pm to provide an overview of the business, its mission, and further details on the 50 open positions. The WildBlue service provides broadband for unserved and underserved households across the United States.

WHY:

The WildBlue headquarters recently moved to a larger facility to expand network operations and customer support. Two primary drivers are increasing demand for WildBlue broadband services and creating the need to grow the employee base:

  • Very affordable service plans for unserved rural households in the West and Midwest made possible through funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

  • Anticipated demand for a brand new level of satellite broadband services, rolling out later this year, based on ViaSat’s innovative high-capacity satellite system architecture.
