ViaSat, Inc. (Nasdaq: VSAT) has made a public offering of 2,271,500 shares of common stock at a price to the public of $30 per share. All of the 2,271,500 shares were offered by ViaSat.
The managing underwriters of the offering are Merrill Lynch & Co., ING Barings, C.E. Unterberg Towbin, CIBC World Markets and Gerard Klauer Mattison & Co. ViaSat has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to 340,725 additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
ViaSat anticipates that it will use the net proceeds of the offering to fund the previously announced acquisition of the satellite networks business of Scientific-Atlanta.
