VINE Manager software enables remote management of inline network encryptors

Carlsbad, CA — ViaSat Inc. has released new software that enables the users of ViaSat AltaSec® Inline Network Encryptors (INEs) to manage, monitor and configure the devices over a network connection from a central location. Called the VINE Manager software, network operators can now remotely manage any INE in their secure network that could otherwise be configured from the INE local user interface. The software is offered at no cost to users of ViaSat AltaSec INEs, including the KG-250, KG-250A, and KG-255.

Using the VINE Manager software multi-color "dashboard" display, network managers can quickly update and review status of networked devices with a rich feature set including: configure devices, import or create tunnel and key tables, upload files to multiple INEs, and download and review INE management history logs. Interoperability built into the VINE Manager software enables network operators to add ViaSat INEs to any network and operate the ViaSat devices right alongside those of other manufacturers with no need to buy an additional management INE or workstation.
