Additional $6.6 Million Lot 5 Order for MIDS Tactical Network Terminal

Carlsbad, CA - ViaSat Inc. (Nasdaq:VSAT) has been awarded an add-on order valued at approximately $6.6 million for Multifunctional Information Distribution System terminals from The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), San Diego. The add-on to the previously announced Lot 5 award includes both LVT(1) airborne and LVT(2) ground-based Low Volume Terminals. The MIDS LVT provides secure, high capacity, jam resistant, digital data and voice communication capabilities for US Navy, US Air Force, and US Army platforms.

ViaSat produces innovative satellite and other wireless communication products that enable fast, secure, and efficient communications to any location. Products include network security devices, tactical data radios, and communication simulators. ViaSat also has a full line of VSAT products for data and voice applications, and is a market leader in Ka-band satellite systems, from user terminals to large gateways. ViaSat has locations in Carlsbad, CA, and Norcross, GA, along with its Comsat Laboratories division based in Clarksburg, MD. Additional field offices are located in Boston, MA and the Washington DC/Baltimore area.

In addition the company�s wholly-owned subsidiary, US Monolithics, designs and produces monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) and modules for use in broadband communications. US Monolithics is based in Chandler, Arizona.
