The ViaSat AltaSec® KG-250 inline network encryptor has become the most popular device for securing Internet Protocol virtual private networks to the furthest reaches of military operations. The foundation of KG-250, and much of our security business, is PSIAM – our Programmable, Scaleable Information Assurance Model. The programmable PSIAM displaces older, cumbersome, and inflexible hard-wired application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). The technology is also winning favor as a key embedded security component for a number of major military programs, such as Increment 2 of the Family of Advanced Beyond-line-of-sight Terminals (FAB-T). Boeing selected ViaSat – and PSIAM – to provide security for the FAB-T radio system, which is designed to enable military information exchange between ground, airborne, and space platforms. |
