|Germantown, MD (Comsat Laboratories)||
Our Comsat Laboratories division of ViaSat is located in Germantown, Maryland. Conveniently located between Baltimore and Washington, Montgomery County offers cultural, educational, employment and business opportunities that few communities can match. It is also considered Maryland's most populous and affluent jurisdiction. With over 850,000 residents, Montgomery is the second largest suburban employment center in the Washington metropolitan area. With ten percent of the County workforce employed in high technologies, it tops the ten largest U.S. metropolitan areas.
Marlborough is the home of ViaSat’s Remote Data Services Group. Like Carlsbad, this location has the appeal of a modified rural lifestyle: far enough away from the city center to avoid the traffic and congestion but close enough to enjoy the city. Marlborough, with its enviable location at the intersections of Routes 20 and 495, just minutes away from the Massachusetts Turnpike, and a few miles west of Route 128, is a thriving community with something for everyone. Incorporated as a town in 1660, and as a city in 1890, Marlborough still maintains its community spirit. Boston, with its lively social scene, cultural and ethnic diversity, and the academic excellence, is located about 35 miles to the east.
|Baltimore, MD||Baltimore is a key location for our Information Assurance group. Baltimore is a colorful, diverse city that is Maryland's largest city and economic hub. The city is known for its beautiful harbor; quirky, distinct neighborhoods; unique museums and the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital to the east and the University of Maryland Medical Center to the west. Baltimoreans take pride in their city - called the "City of Neighborhoods" - that boasts one of the most remarkable transformations in history. Yet it retains a down to earth, small town spirit and hospitality. The city is also close enough to Washington DC to enjoy all the culture and history of the U.S. capital. Our office neighbors the Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) for travel convenience.|
